“What’s for dinner?” The age old question we have been asking since we were children. The answer has not changed too much over the years. If it is Wednesday it is spaghetti day or Monday it is leftover Sunday roast. Of course if the meat wasn’t well done and the veggies weren’t cooked until they were mush, dinner wasn’t ready. We are comfortable with the food the way it was cooked as we grew up and we continue the tradition. I guess that’s why it’s called comfort food.
Well let’s shake this up. We need to add a little spice to our life – literally. Breakout the wok we received as a gift several years ago and didn’t sell in the last yard sale, and google stir fry. See what pops up! You might be pleasantly surprised how simple and delicious it can be. Or go to a farmers market or grocery store that specializes on different, unique varieties of veggies. Try them you may be surprised.
There are many interesting foods and new methods of preparation that can change our whole outlook on what and how we eat in the future. Try it you may like it!
